Heroic Media has created this Privacy Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect your personal privacy within our Web Site (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy applies solely to the information that Heroic Media collects on our Site and does not apply to information we may collect by any alternative means or media.

What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information

Our inquiry forms require users to give us an email address and offer the opportunity for users to supply additional information in a message box. Personally identifiable information gathered from this website via such inquiry forms may be used to communicate with you (though we currently have no intention to do so), to answer questions you may have, and will be shared with one or more pregnancy help centers; however, Heroic Media will not otherwise sell, share with, or rent any of your personally identifiable information to third parties that are not affiliated with or providing services to Heroic Media, unless required to do so by law or as follows:

If one of Heroic Media’s business lines or the entire business, or a substantial portion thereof, is acquired or transferred, whether by merger, consolidation or purchase of a substantial portion of assets, Heroic Media may disclose and transfer your personally identifiable information to such third party acquiring Heroic Media.  In addition, if Heroic Media becomes the subject of a bankruptcy or insolvency proceeding, whether voluntary or involuntary, Heroic Media or its trustee in bankruptcy may sell, assign, license or otherwise transfer such information in a transaction approved by the appropriate court.  Heroic Media may also disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties when we believe, in good faith and in our sole discretion, that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) enforce or apply the terms and conditions of this Site; (b) comply with legal or regulatory requirements; (c) protect the rights, property or safety of Heroic Media, our users or other third parties; or (d) prevent a crime or protect national security.

Heroic Media may also (after removing any personally identifiable information) use and share the information and content you supply via our inquiry forms, on the Site or otherwise for purposes consistent with the mission and purposes of Heroic Media, including connecting women with hopeful alternatives to abortion and building a culture of Life.  For example, we may use your content, after removing any personally identifiable information, as an example of a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy and how Heroic Media provided help.

Children

This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13.  Heroic Media does not knowingly or specifically collect personal information from users under 13 years of age.  In the event that Heroic Media becomes aware that it has collected personal information from a user under 13 years of age, it will take steps to delete such information from its database.

Permission for collection and sharing of user-specific information

Information gathered from the use of surveys or polls may be used for producing non-user identifying statistics that could be made public on our Site or other documentation.

Opt-in and Opt-out Features

You may opt out from receiving electronic communications from Heroic Media by sending an email to hminfo@heroicmedia.org asking to be removed from our electronic communications; otherwise the default is for you to continue receiving electronic communications from Heroic Media. Please note that each email that goes out from Heroic Media gives you the option to opt out from receiving specific types of e-mails such as invitations, action alerts, etc.

Internet Protocol Address

We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Use of "Cookies"

Our Site may use cookies to enhance your experience while using our Site. Applicable Law

This Policy shall be governed by the laws of the State ofTexas, without regard to conflicts of law principles, and exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising out of this Policy shall be the state courts or federal district courts ofTexas.
